About Me

Hello!  My name is Brittany.

I am a stay at home mom of three kids: one boy and two girls.  My boy is my oldest and my food allergy kid.  He has life threatening, severe allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, soy, mustard, legumes and tomato. It is quite the list!

Learning how to manage his food allergies, and figuring out what to feed my family has been a challenge, but it is one that I feel like we are conquering. Here on my blog I've shared pictures (that are hardly professional but show exactly what the recipe looks like out of my kitchen) and recipes that meet the needs of our diet and that I have successfully converted egg free.

I hope you enjoy them, and find something here you like!

  2. Thank you for the comment! When we first found out about my boy's allergies, I was frustrated trying to find recipes and learn how to cook for him. I'm glad to be able to share recipes to help others in similar situations.

  3. I appreciate your blog. I have recently been diagnosed with a sensitivity to eggs, soy and a few other beloved ingredients so I really love reading blogs like yours. Yes, there are a lot of food blogs, but there is always room for more and your recipes sound delicious. I'm planning on making the buttermilk pancakes this weeken!

  4. I love that you use the word victorious! That is a perfect word to explain the way I too feel when I concur a yummy meal that is safe! My son also has food allergies. He is 2 and is allergy to egg, nuts and dairy. And like your son he has had life threatening reactions. I am the crazy, cautious allergy mom :)

Thank you for blogging! Finding the joy in cooking again has been a process since for so long it was just a reminder of my frustrations with food allergies. But it did return ... Victoriously! ;)

  7. Dear Brittany,

From one allergy mom to another: THANK YOU!!!! Your allergy stories made my cry. My little one is 21 months, and we just had to add tree nuts and sunflower to the eggs, and it's been so overwhelming, scary, and isolating. Your son's success and ownership of his own care gives me hope that there is light ahead. Thank you for sharing!
